The predecessor to Alamo Title Insurance, Alamo Abstract and Title Company, was formed in 1922 in San Antonio, Texas. For seventy of those years, Alamo wrote title insurance exclusively in Texas while reinsuring transactions throughout the United States. In 1993, Alamo Title expanded into New Mexico.

Since its founding, Alamo Title has prospered, weathering fluctuations in the economy while enjoying sustained, consistent growth and profitability. Our conservative philosophy in underwriting and fiscal responsibility is reflected in our low loss ratios and positive operating results for many years.

Today, after 85 years of serving San Antonio and surrounding areas, Alamo Title Company is part of Fidelity National Financial, Inc., a family of companies that constitutes the largest title insurance entity in the world.
